The Rothenberg Political Report Upgrades VA-02 Race
"Virginia's 2nd district is competitive, and Nye's extensive international experience, including in Iraq and Afghanistan, makes him a credible messenger of change," Rothenberg says

Virginia Beach, VA -- Today the Rothenberg Political Report upgraded Virginia's 2nd Congressional race from "Likely Republican" to "Lean Republican", showing one more sign of Glenn Nye's increased support and growing momentum for his campaign after he bested incumbent Thelma Drake in fundraising for the latest reporting period. This exciting development is a strong indication of Hampton Roads' growing call for change in Washington leadership.

Stuart Rothenberg, Editor and Publisher of the Rothenberg Political Report, also wrote about Nye's candidacy in his column yesterday, noting: "Virginia's 2nd district is competitive, and Nye's extensive international experience, including in Iraq and Afghanistan, makes him a credible messenger of change."  (Roll Call, 7/28/08)

"Glenn Nye is uniquely in touch with the concerns and priorities of the district, given his experience serving alongside our military men and women, and the top political analysts in the country continue to highlight this relationship," said Rick Fromberg, Nye's Campaign Manager.  "Glenn Nye's message of bipartisan problem-solving has resonated with the people of Hampton Roads, and our campaign's continued momentum is a direct result of  the district's growing discontent with 'business as usual' in Washington."
