Obama Campaign to Hold Women's Rally for the Change We Need in Loudoun County with Joe Biden

Democratic vice presidential nominee U.S. Sen. Joe Biden, joined by his wife, Jill Biden, will hold a women's Rally for the Change We Need event Friday in Sterling, where they will lay out U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's proposals for improving economic opportunity for women and ensuring that parents are better able to balance the demands of work and family.

Sen. Biden has spent his career fighting for equal pay and equal rights. Biden wrote and passed the ground-breaking Violence Against Women Act, legislation that included an array of measures to combat domestic violence and hold batterers accountable. He fought for passage of the Family and Medical Leave Act, cracked down on deadbeat dads and has been a consistent supporter of equal pay.

Program Begins: 12:00 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. However, tickets are REQUIRED. Members of the public are invited to pick up free tickets tonight, Wednesday, September 17th, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and tomorrow, Thursday, September 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the locations listed below. Attendees enter at the southern entrance on Loudon Park Lane. Attendees are invited to bring their families and some snacks to have a picnic before the event.
