Countdown to Progress Tour

TOMORROW (Tuesday, October 30^th) the Democratic Party of Virginia will kickoff its week-long, statewide Countdown To Progress: Delivering Results for Virginia Families Tour.

The rally will be in McLean at the DPVA Field Office at 1515 Anderson Road. We'll begin gathering at 11:30 am!

Headlined by Governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, Senator Jim Webb, leadership from the Virginia House and Senate and Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman Richard Cranwell, the tour will make stops across the Commonwealth to remind voters about what is at stake on November 6th.

"We're taking the message to every corner of the Commonwealth that Democrats are the leaders who will put aside party politics and deliver results- not rhetoric- for the people of Virginia,"said Chairman Cranwell.

The Countdown To Progress tour will kick off with a rally in McLean on Tuesday. Featuring Governor Tim Kaine, the rally will highlight the progress Virginia has made under Democrats and the need to send more leaders to Richmond who will put politics aside to get things done.

Following Tuesday's kickoff, tour participants will fan out to all corners of the Commonwealth. In its first days, the tour will stop in Fredericksburg, Leesburg, Gainesville and Norfolk, before heading to Floyd, Christiansburg, Rocky Mount and Danville. Stops will range from large rallies to small meet and greets. Along the way, participants will knock on doors, visit with voters and campaign for candidates who are committed to going to Richmond to deliver results.

"It's all come down to this. We have seven days to remind voters about the choices they face on November 6th," said Cranwell. "And we're going to use all seven of them to make sure Virginians across the Commonwealth know how important it is that we make some changes in Richmond and elect leaders to the General Assembly who will work together to move Virginia forward."
